Ft.Myers Gun Show
I have bought several guns P-64 and 2 PA-63's from TG Imports at the Orlando Gun Show where he also goes. He sells them right out of the crate and has a good selection some probably never issued. Also got a P-1 from him....Nice guy to deal with.

Range report & other tidbits of interest
gunneyrabbit, Thanks for your reassurance on the PA-63's gritty trigger. I have two of them, and really like them. I also find the thumb rest to be helpful, but my wife hates it as a she is a left handed shooter! I keep a PA-63 in my backpack I take to work. It is actually designed for a laptop, but...

Range report & other tidbits of interest
NORM,
Thanks a bunch! However I have the manual you suggested, but what I really need is a manual showing complete disassembly like there is on this forum for the P-64. How can I get the "grittiness" out of the trigger pull?

Range report & other tidbits of interest
This is a bit of a variety of subjects so I will break them down by item numbers. I visited Tenneroc Gun Range near Lakeland Florida today with the wife (she fired her 1913 .38 Special revolver - very accurate and her .357 Mag Uberti - she likes low loads so they don't hurt her hands. She also shot ...

Success at last!!
Well, I finally got my 1974 P-64 back together. I stripped it right down to component parts, and then put it back together. The firing pin channel and loaded chamber indicator channel were dry and a bit rusty. Finally found the safety detent after several days searching. I found a dental pick the be...

Problem with P-64
Thanks all!! My daughter has a new baby and is staying with us for a while so it may be a few days before I get back to working on my P-64. I printed out Troy's instructions on the link you gave, and they have been very helpful. However I still don't understand what holds the rear end of the trigger...

Problem with P-64
I disassembled my P-64 a few days ago, finally found the safety detente on the floor! Cleaned and put everything back together but have a problem. Before putting the grips on I cocked the hammer and holding the transfer bar in pulled the trigger dropping the hammer. However the gun will not go throu...

Orlando Gun Show - fairgrounds
Yes, the Orlando Gunshow fee was up to $8.00 when I went to the May Show...But still well worth it!! I got me another P-64 from SSME Deutsch Waffen, a 1974 model. Now I have two! Also some ammo and some ammo cans...There were two booths selling ammo cans this time. Most for $6.00 or larger for $10.0...

Light Makarov load
Garry, I have used SR7625 and SR 4756 powders when I first started experimenting, I think about 3.0 to 3.5 grains. I tested them in my Bulgarian Makarov, and they were almost too weak to cycle the action, so I would have to boost the charge by 0.5 grains and try again. I bought Meister RN lead bulle...

New P-64
Normsutton... Actually I had been corresponding by E-Mail with Shona at SSME, and had told her that I would be at the Orlando gunshow. She responded that she was out of P-64's, I even stopped by her booth on the Saturday!. I found mine at another booth, the folks there sold out of crates, and were f...

New P-64
I went to the gunshow in Orlando, Fl last weekend and found a vendor selling P-64's and other guns out of crates. Hah! I finally found a P-64! I picked one out that looked brand new - $149.95 plus tax and neics fee. Took it to the range last Wednesday. She shoots great. Never bothered with double ac...

My P-64 likes 3.0 gr Bullseye or 3.5 gr of W231 with 93 gr lead bullets. Recoil is light (to me)!
