Need new Mags

New to the board and just bought my first P-64, but also have my first issue hope someone can help. After firing the last round the slide closes. I see the mag that came with the gun is missing the small metal piece that holds the slide open when mag is empty. After looking online for a new mag almost all I see are missing this metal piece does anyone know where I can get the correct magazine????? Thanks for any help.. my p-64 is 1974 model.

take the slide off and make sure it has a slide stop spring and its installed right

I checked the slide spring and it is installed on top of the slide bar. I did install the mag with the slide off and it seems to push the slide bar up but maybe not enough to catch the slide when the mag is empty?? Now thinking I need a new slide bar and spring and where do you find them???

When I got the gun home I stripped it down cleaned it tip top and then recleaned it after taking it to the range. The gun works GREAT shoots tight groups at 50 feet. Like it better then my brand new Ruger p-95.. The only issue is the slide won't stay open after last round. Do you think this is something I should take to a gunsmith?

if you really think it need a new slide stop spring I make them & the trigger return spring
