I was told that much of the heavy recoil from the P-64's can be absorbed better by different grips.
Assuming this to be the case, and since I am a complete newbie to Radoms, I figured I'd ash the group what they use. My only point is the "new" grips must be good for CC as this will be my primary use for the P-64.

I use a an inner tube cut to fit over the grip. Can't say that it changes the recoil much but it feels better in my big hands.
I would think those Hogue grips would be the best bet.

Hogue Handall Jr. is a good (but very snug) fit on the P-64 and it absorbs a lot of recoil. There is some good info on different installation techniques for this grip elsewhere on the P-64 board.

For ~$2.50 you can get "Whatagrip" at Walmart. It's next to the tennis racquets. There's enough in there to do 2 P64s. It's cheap, it feels good, it's worth a shot... If you order the stuff on line, there's even some colors to choose from
here's the link to order online...candy stripe anyone?

Wonder if we would have enough members here that could get the Hogue brothers to make one of their outstanding soft rubber grips to fit the P-64s and make it a little oversize to custion the recoil. Big bucks to retool and retrofit the assemply line to mfg them, but worth a try. I sent Guy Hogue an e-mail to see if they would consider this. Sgt P.

Good idea and I'm in.

Sadly I did hear back from Hogue Grips yesterday. They confirmed that they will not be producing any soft rubber oversized grips for the P-64 due to the cost of re-tooling, injection molding, etc, etc. Oh well, maybe we can find someone who could custom make them one set at a time. Sgt P.
