Yet ANITHER safety issue/question

I have the same issue with my P-64. The first time I took it to the range, I let my brother-in-law load it up. I didn't know that he was topping off the magazine after loading a round into the chamber. The round in the chamber would go off but it always caused a failure to feed. It was not until recently I took my P-64 to the range again. When I chambered the first round in the magazine and DID NOT top it off, it functioned perfectly.

I am a new member as of today and just stumbled across your site. I have a p-64 and had the non functioning trigger as stated on page one and you were right on. I put the spring back on and the gun functions perfectly.... Thanks for the input and fix.
