My bloody trigger finger

Slightly off subject but...

Is Glaser Pow'rBall the same as a Glaser Safety Slug? It seems the concepts are similar. Safety slugs always seem to cost substantially more. Is there justification for this?

To who asked how I screwed up my finger.....

Know,I think it was just from shootinh double action,I bet mine's like 50+ pounds.

Its right below the first finger joint line,anddown alittle,not in middle of finger. I hear about switching springs out,but who knows how it would work then. I want a CZ-52 in 7.62x29-maybe somebody out there wants to trade.???

I hope Wolf Classic will function well in my P-64... just bought 1,000 rounds of it! I have not shot any of it yet. Maybe I should have tried a box first.

I think you nailed it right there. One of the first things I looked for in a pistol was fit and feel. I have medium size hands and the Czak fits perfectly. I love the little Kel-Tec pocket pistols but they are just to small for my hands. The feeding and reliability issues of the P-64 can certainly be remedied with info on this site. But if the gun isn't comfortable in your hands it will never become your CCW.

Wolf ammo around here is selling for $14 to $19 a box. I've never tried the stuff and for that price I don't plan to. I hope my dealer never runs out of MFS at $11. Of course he will run out because I keep buying it all up!

There are complaints about Military Classic, but I think they are mainly about being dirty. I've shot maybe a 1000 rounds or so and I don't have a problem with it -- the price was right.

yea it is a bit dirty (but since I clean my guns after shooting anyway it doesn't make any difference) it does have a unique smell to it as well.

mines a 71. it had a pretty ridiculous double action (that still breaks inconsistently), but after a couple weeks of dry firing it with a piece of foam rubber in front of the pin, the double action is complete workable at 7 yds.

and in SA it's got a smooth trigger that breaks like glass.

also, no springwork here.

The Wolf ammo I had several misfires with was in a black box of 50 rds.9mm Makarov,100 gr. steel case. It wasnt the "Military classic" ammo

I'm glad I only bought 2 boxes.Next time I go to the range I'll burn that up first. Didn't have any misfires with 3 other brands of ammo.

Hey all,

Wolff in 9x18 has been discussed in great length here, and I believe that most P-64 shooters stay away from it.

Norm and nbender know far more about this than I do.

I shoot Wolff Military Classic in my SKS and have had only one jam in hundreds of rounds but I have never, and will never shoot that round in 9x18.

I actually shoot Russian corrosive 9x18 most of the time. I clean the guns with hot soapy water and oil them well after each session and have been pleased with the results.
