I hope this is over and put behind us because I have enjoyed and appreciated both bzinggg and nbender's comments on several threads, I haven't always agreed with them, as I am sure they haven't always agreed with me, but you both are OK in my book, I have gained rather than lost from both of your inputs, so I hope that process continues in the future. Thanks to both of you I'm a better P-64 owner.

Hello Guys,

Well, the wife is posting for me again. She sent your kind comments showing support for the new "rules". i appreciate your help in keeping this fun place to come and talk about the P-64 and other firearms.

As "papabear" stated, lets put it behind us and move on.

One note to keep all of you updated, due to my limited access to the internet at a remote site with VPN, and my client having put sever restictions on the use of the internet with their computers which I have to use here, I am not available as much as I need to be. To help with this problem, I have contacted "dickfunk" to have another Moderator for the Forum. I will still be here, but until my work schedule is better, I need the help. I will keep you updated as best as possible thru my very helpful wife. Thanks for being so understanding, and being a great bunch of guys!

We have all had problems of failure to fire with Wolf ammo, but I had no idea that it could cause catastrophic failures with the pistol. My son in law had a reload blow up my SIG model 220 at the gun range one day. Luckily the fellow who owned the reload factory was also a SIG Armorer. I have know idea what the factory charged him for a new lower end and rebuild but I can't imagine it was cheap. Fortunately the explosion split the frame on the right hand side and left a chunk of brass sticking out of the fracture foreword to his hold. The fallow up cartridge had four smiles on the FMJ from the slide attempting to seat the cartridge in battery. This all happened in less than a second, and it was the first time my son in law had been shooting with me. He said his hand hurt for several days afterword. I think I will be setting the Russian Lobo aside. Thanks for the heads up, we don't need to experience anything like that again................ G.R.

There was a classic post on Gunboards a while back, where Logansdad shot the Wolf 109-grain and the cartridge case was manufactured without primer holes and blew pieces off the bottom of the case and through the air. I wish the search function worked on that forum - the pictures were pretty impressive. It was also a testmanent to the strength of the all-steel Makarov - it wasn't hurt a bit.

I'd like to see those photographs, I had no idea how dangerous ammunition could be when not properly manufactured until my son in laws mishap. When you think about it, it's just T.N.T. in a can.......... G.R.
