Norm,
But the original fix works as well? I hope so, I bought two springs for my future P-64 purchase.

Caution on Hammer Spring Replacement
So now I have to add a question to saands. The main page shows your 16# hammer spring fix, which I did today. Does this mean I now have to change out the recoil spring as well. If so, that would have been nice to know from the instructions, when I ordered the hammer spring and not pay shipping twice...

Heavy Recoil????
I am confused when I read in postings and other websites that this weapon has a heavy felt recoil. What is the felt recoil being compared to? People writing articles for gun magazines don't complain when they are shooting a 44 mag out of a snubbie. I personally would not want to BUT I would expect t...

Firing Pin removal
Need directions with removing the firing pin so I can clean the channel and regrease when finished. I tried a subject search for "firing pin disassembly" and got nothing.
Any help appreciated.

nbender,
as an add on, the two boxes of American Eagle were $15.00 each and now the AE FMJ at another store is $23.00 a box. That probably demonstrated how old the ammo is. BUT it shot great with no FTF.

nbender,
the ammo was from American Eagle, the shop where I bought the gun is very old and the gunsmith who sold me the gun said the ammo was easily 6-7 years old and I bought the two remaining boxes. At another store I found Hungarian ammo for $10.00 a box for 50 rounds of FMJ

Happy P-64 owner
New to the group and wanted to say Hello! While looking for some black powder reloads at my local gun shop, I noticed a dark gun hidden on the second shelf under some sale tags. I first thought it was a Walther PPKS in blue but the shop keeper immediately chastised me for the error. He said it was P...

Howdy Y'all, Bought my 1972 P-64 new last week and took it to the range shooting American Eagle ammo both hollow points and ball ammo and was pleasantly surprised at the accuracy. Took it home and stripped it down to include the grips. Being a southpaw, the thumb rest is a nuisance at best. Anyhow, ...
