GREAT/RARE Piece of P-64 History!!!!

Post by volfandan »

If you read my post on the thread about the serrated triggers in the "trigger face" thread, you'll know that my local gunsmith was called by the importer to go to the US Customs House in Louisville, KY to work on P64's. He called me today, and asked me to stop by the shop. When I got there, he gave me a Polish snap cap that came from the 64. He said that out of 4400+ of these guns he worked on, he only found 6 of these that came over from Poland. Pretty cool. Oh, and he said that his P64 has a parkerized slide (from arsenal) and "very inconspicuous" import markings. I'm going to try to get a pic of his gun to post.

Ooooo - that snap cap is neat!

Or - I wonder if it could be one of those dummy training rounds that Bartos posted about before he dissapeared? I wonder if it has a rubber or plastic insert at the primer as a snap cap would?
