A while ago I picked up a Baikal O/U Shotgun and was asked to post pics but never did...sorry.
Here it is!
I've been looking for a range gun...HiPower clone, P-38 etc. I just missed a new, unfired S&W mod 39-2 this afternoon so to stop feeling sorry for myself I picked up this 92FS Compact M...
I'm happy now...until I find another mod 39-2!!!

I like your over/under shotgun carguy.Do you shoot trap? In january I'm joining a different fish & game club that has a great trap shooting facility. I watched the action at a recent competition event they had. Those guys did'nt miss much. I'd be embarrassed to shoot next to them. It's been years since I tried it on a very informal basis like just having a friend launch the discs while I attempted to blast them. Seemed like I was hitting about 50%. Do you need a certain type of shotgun for trap shooting?

Trent: You are mean..the important thing is I live in Massachusetts, model 39-2 is not on the AG's Approved Compliant List of firearms so I need to find one "already" un Mass to buy it. Otherwise like you found...there are plenty. I know of 1 more in Mass now for $400 but I still can't justify the shotguins and the Beretta I just biught never mind the 39!!!
Redfestiva: Yes I just started shooting trap with my son and it is alot of fun. His first time ever he shot 20 out of 25! Mine was 12 of 25...he sure hasn't let me forget that to this day!
Finally, I'm sorry I never noticed (it must be new) the section for "Other Firearms". If I can figure it out I'll move or simply delete this post. Again sorry guys.
...original oak floors from the 60's when the house was built. Walnut on the stocks (I think). I'm very impressed with the Baikal O/U.
...the Beretta has an anodized aluminum frame with a stainless slide and barrel. I've been away for a few days and hope to run to the range tonight to see how it shoot. As I said I love the look (wish I picked up one in the black/blued finish, "made in Italy", not long ago. I didn't want to spend the money (and it was cheaper than this one cost me) because I was looking for that Model 39-2!!! So instead I get neither, wait a couple of weeks and spend more on this one, I like it alot...my sons just "LOVES" it so you know who's gun this will become as soon as he gets his permit. And this is the compact M model (8 shot single stack) so it is narrower than the double stack 15 shot version...a little more concealable if need be.
...finally Redfestiva, no particular shotgun to start Trap, you can by a special one with a taller ventilated rib for better sight picture but all in all, any shotgun you are comfortable with and points good for you is okay. You should probably have changable chokes but if not like my O/U, it has a modied for the first shot (lower barrel) and a full for the second shot (more condensed shot pattern for the 2nd target as it will be farther away by the time you shoot at it). My son is shooting like a pro with a used Winchester 1200, 12 ga, pump and he never shot trap before. So like anything it is all in the person, your ability and willingness to practice...don't be discouraged if you don't shoot well at first, you will eventually and even it you don't do as well as you might want...as long as you're having fun the rest just does not matter!

My P64 functions fine, no more paperweight! Hurray!!
I also put a box of 9mm through my new Beretta. WOW! My son was right, that is one awesome pistol. Accurate as heck, little recoil and recovers quickly back onto target. I really didn't want to like it so I could convince myself to keep looking for that S&W Model 39-2 but I can't. I love this pistol! Fun, accurate and inexpensive to shoot!
Then I shot a range mate's Walther P-22. What a cool pistol! I gotta get one of these. Neat looking, cheap to shoot, accurate and a fun pistol!! I saw one at the dealers this week with a laser sight on it...that has to be a blast!!
I can't afford this hobby any more, I'm convinced of it. Someone schedule an intervention...PLEASE! 8~)
my brother has a p22, those things are great, they feel just perfect in the hand.
(this may make your addiction worse) but they are coming out in alot of different colors like desert camo and such
I just noticed the 2 tone and the camo on a local gun shop website! I like the interchangable barrels from 3.5 to 5 inch (I shot the 5 inch today) and there are lasers and such. I really think this could be the "Next Big Thing"!
