I got the xtra power recoil spring and theres another small spring in the bag? whats that for?

Firing pin.....you use it to eliminate the possibility of a stronger recoil spring and a weaker (weaker than designed by keeping the stock firing pin spring) firing pin causing slamfires.

The reason I had heard from one of Wolff's customer service reps was not the slam fire reason that Sarge mentioned (it does have some merit to it with a heavier recoil spring = more forward force). However, what the rep told me was that it has more power (40%?) to get the firing pin retracted into the bolt face faster upon the slide cycling to the rear. This prevents striation marks on the primer, but ultimately keeps the firing pin from breaking due to it possibly dragging on the primer and forming the striation marks.

Makes sense ^^....I always use the firing pin spring Wolff sends with their recoil springs...

its really not necessary, especially if you have already change the hammer spring to a lighter one , unless its broke or damaged in some way
