Aftermarket extended P-64 magazine release?
Aftermarket extended P-64 magazine release?
Do any members know if anyone makes an aftermarket extended magazine release to make removal of the magazine easier? It's a great little pistol, and highly accurate once you get accustomed to the small sights. My only complaint is the match (or mis-match) of the seam on the rear of the grips where they come together. I ordered custom wood ones from Marchal(?, not sure of the name spelling there) and am awaiting shipment and delivery. (And before the obvious question is asked, I didn't file or sand the seam because the grips are so mint and clean with no scratches scuffs it almost seemed like sacrilige to do so. The pistol is very good to excellent but the grips look like they were never issued. I have a CZ-52 with the exact opposite problem(?) unissued pistol with used grips.

First, have you put a spring kit in your gun? The hammer spring is also the mag latch spring. Putting the 18-pound hammer spring in the gun will also make removing the magazines easier. Second, the grips are somewhat adjustable. Loosen them up and see if you can get them to align better.
Carrying a Mak may not be PC, but whatever works.
