I have not personally tried them but have seen a number of recommendations against aftermarket magazines on the board. If I remember right the top of the magazines were slightly different and a least one guy posted how he was able to fix his to work properly. Used a dremel to make the aftermarket mags look like the original.
I purchased extra surplus magazines from center fire systems and they work flawlessly for the same amount. They are used but work great. http://www.centerfiresystems.com/polish ... g-p64.aspx

I think J&G Sales has them for the same price. They're used factory but in excellent cond. In my group buy there were 20 mags....all in great cond. I'd get factory used over aftermarket new but that just me

I bought from Center fire because they had some other stuff I wanted at the time. Leather PP Mag holders and a Makarov holster if memory serves. When I ordered the pistol from J&G they offered extra mags. I kicked my self for not adding them once I got the pistol. The P-64 was my first online pistol order and I was pretty leery of buying a surplus pistol sight unseen.
Unfortunately, I got over that quick.

Bought them, disappointed, cheap and weak metal, after 30 rds. needs a hammer to fix them tight.
OEM recommended.

I purchased two of these from KeepShooting and they both worked fine. That was over four months ago, so maybe they came out of a different lot. The mags came with some break-in instructions for loading rounds...I followed those instructions and the mags have worked fine since. With the break in instructions and regular loading, I've shot appx 150-200 rounds with no problems.

you are better off trying to find original mags, this statement is a false one

(The weak link for the P-64 pistol is the magazine. The magazines were not designed to be in service for decades, and the magazines being sold with the pistols are all used and dated.)
