And They Wonder Why I'd Want TO Be Armed

Here's the latest on what's going on in my little town. Had to go around the area to get into work. Prayers sent for the officer and all involved.

just horrible and i hope the officer is okay, but this is just another reason to be armed really...im sure at least one person will utter the phrase "i never thought it would happen here" in reference to this incident. Luckily this happened in a more contained area, but it could of been worse in a public place like a mall, school, park, etc.

One of the good things that COULD come out of what I see coming, is knowing who your neighbors are, and helping each other (provided you can stand them and even if you can't). After seeing the police take weapons away from law abiding citizens in New Orleans and suspending all sales of arms and ammo. I could see the hand writing on the wall. In situations it will come down to friends ,family and most importantly yourself for support. Government can only do SO MUCH. My good friends from Homestead FL. saw ZERO law enforcement for three weeks after Andrew hit. If it hadn't been for the neighbors helping each other, and locals patroling their neighborhoods a lot of Bad JuJu would have come to pass. I've seen the pictures of the looters they captured, and turned over to the National Guard. They were some real scum. We've seen it after Andrew, and Katrina in FL.and LA. It doesn't re-enforce my view of humanity.
