I installed Norms trigger spring and that gave me the exuse to go to the range and try it out.I went to the indoor range this time and you have to use their ammo.95gr win white box.50 rnds everything ok.However when I was cleaning it I noticed a small speck on the breech face near the fp hole.I used a toothpick to try and get it off and the toothpick snagged on it.When I looked at it with a magnifyer it was a ragged pit or hole.It was never there before.I filled it in with a tiny speck of JB weld and let it sit overnight then sanded smooth. My fear was that it would possibly open up more as I shoot and break thue into the fp channel.Do you think this is defective metal or what? I do not have a camera. ???

a pierced primer is when the firing pin goes though the primer , and hot gases come back out the primer , can cause a brunt firing pin , or a piece of primer to log in the firing pin hole, or cause what you described,
it can happen with anybody's ammo , but a lot more frequently with Wolf steel case ammo ,not their gold ammo, their gold ammo is made by Prvi Partizan witch is top quality ammo
unfortunately wolf gold is not made in a lot of their pistol ammo if any

don't know and don't want to speculate, if I can't see it, chances are it should be alright, that's a pretty solid piece of metal

Thanks again Norm.I appreciate your expertise.I'll keep my eye on it. Sometimes when you haven't experienced something you never know is it a future problem or nothing? Thats why even at my age I I'm not embarrassed to ask qustions. You just may nip something in the bud before it gets out of hand.

maybe some smoke out the back end when firing slow no flash except maybe at night, look at fired brass
, but its kinda hard to even find your brass with most 9x18 pistols because it throws brass into the next zip code
