Available Data for FEG SMC-918?

Post by oppy »

Can anyone recommend a source for data on the SMC-918? I am mainly interested in its stats relative to the P64. Of course, if anyone here actually owns one I would like your comments on perceived quality, "shootability", availability etc

Other than at Makarov.com, I find only passing references to this little guy in my web searches...

Thank you.

I think it was made after the RK -59

this is the latest one the BR-61.I have two of these they have steel frames

they come apart almost like the PA-63

Thanks Norm. I was just curious how the SMC-918 stacks up against the P64. I occasionally see comments about it but now that I am looking for data I am not finding a lot. Essentially I am looking for size specs, opinions on quality/shootability, and availability of purchase..

it has a alloyed frame just like the PA -63 except for being smaller , same size as the BR-61,
never seen one less got fired one , but my BR-61's shoot as good as any other 9x18,s, the recoil maybe a little stiffer because of the size and weight of the gun , its the smallest 9x18 out there, availability not that many out there for sale, every once in a while one will pop up I bought my BR-61's with two mags new in the box for 240 a piece 4 years ago , as of all FEG 9x18 pistols shoot only 95 grn bullets or below , I like to find one myself , http://www.marschalgrips.com/ make's grips for them too witch helps out on the recoil , spring change is the same as the PA-63 the recoil spring needs to be trim down to the size of the original but can be done

there are some other's on this board that have one more info on the gun go to http://www.charlesdalyforum.com/

Charles Daly says he was the importer of them
