Did you guys notice that they sell their PA-63's with one mag and have extras for sale?

When I bought mine from AIM, I got two mags.

Before the 99.95 deal, the J&G combo of a pistol and an extra mag cost more.

Interesting marketing.

That was my point, though I guess I stopped short of actually stating it. Sometimes I'm a bit too elliptical. They do the same thing with CZ-82's.

My local gun shop has a PA-63 for $150.00 OTD. He also has a spare mag I may be able to get him to throw in or let me have for cheap.

How do you guys like this gun compared to the P-64? I just got my second one and have a 1967 coming soon. My first two are both 1975 versions.

I am thinking about grabbing it, but the aluminum frame seems a bit on the cheapie side. I have never fired one. Am I wrong about the frame? It seems light, I just don't know.

Hey protector! Where are you in the Easton area? I am halfway between Allentown and Philly.

on the preceeding model, the R-61, they added .1% Titanium to the frame due to durability problems with previous models, such as the RK-59. It has a kick, like most 9x18's, especially due to the light frame, but a stronger recoil spring and thicker grips made a difference with me. I now actually enjoy shooting it.

Fritzhund -

My son prefers the PA-63. My daughter prefers the CZ-82. I prefer the P-64. I think it all boils down to what you like.

I'd heard what Mikeh1 said, too. I passed on an RK-59 once because of it. Apparently the frames on the RK-59's would crack because the alloy wasn't quite right.

I'd have no concerns about the aluminum in the PA-63, except to avoid rounds larger than 95 gr or so. I've read that the heavier loads or hot handload can cause deformation problems because the aluminum wasn't designed to take that much abuse. But the Barnaul and S&B ammo fills the bill, and there's lots of it.

If you bought the AIM gun, you'd have to add shipping & transfer fees, and you'd be at the $150 anyway. I'd go for it.

Great guns. Kiick like a mule due to the light frame, but it depends on how you hold it. Best buy in a long time.

I like mine, but like weetabix says, use 95gr and you won't have any problems with the frame. I have talked with people who have shot a PA-63 for several years and have not had a problem with the frame or any other significant problems. Shoot On!!!

You guys are great. I started reading this forum, luckily, before I got my first P-64 and have gained a wealth of information from the boards.

I have had every question answered in a professional manner no matter which gun I want to discuss. I have been able to respond to questions by others and hope that I have been of help.

I contributed to the project the other night and would hope that others are planning to do the same.

How many times have you read that "THE TRIGGER PULL IS VERY HEAVY BUT THE BLUE IS NICE" with it being left as just that?

Thanks to everyone involved here.

I am going to pick up that PA-63. I liked it, was not sure about it, asked about it, and now am convinced that I am among friends.

Just don't tell the wife that I am spending money on another piece this close to Christmas! >:(

I live in Wilson Borough, just outside of Easton,20 min. east of Allentown! Very nice gun,I bought 2 as they will dry up soon,FEG is out of business from what I understand.Frame is 1% Titanium/99% Aluminum alloy, don't let its lightness fool you where durability is concerned.Just keep it at 95 grain bullets or under and you will have a lifer!! ;D
