Norm,

I answered "michaelap" in another post about the ankle holsters, I have never used a ankle holster mainly because you have to lean over to far to reach the darn thing, its tougher for us older guys........ ::)

Welcome michaelap! Here's a link to some ankle holsters if you end up going that route.

+210lbs (me) Hayden I agree that is tuff for us old guys to bend over. Actually think our 64's are a little heavy for an ankle rig but that is just my thoughts . never have liked them that much anyway.

As I said on another post, Brigade makes one for the P-64...

Earlier today, I was scientifically testing ankle carry with my P-64...by sticking it in thick socks. I have to say...even though it was snugged up against my leg pretty well, I thought it printed *badly* in normal loose-fitting business slacks. Maybe in starched pants or bellbottoms...

Thanks for the ideas I will let you know if I do use one. At a gun show in Berea Ohio I tried one and it did feel good with cargo pants, of course it was only for a few minutes. Either way carrying this P-64 is so much more comfortable than my full size Springfield. My wife and I will be picking up some more. They are great on my budgets!!

I have and occasionally do carry a Glock 26 in a Galco Ankle Glove. Galco makes that for a PPK, I believe. It's a great ankle rig, I think anyways. However great it is, it's my last resort for primary carry position, but alright for a backup.

You can buy it cheaper elsewhere, but there is the link.

Note: Galco makes their holsters fit guns exactly, it's not a one size fits most thing, so if a PPK is not damn near what a P64 is you might have problems with the fit. I don't personally have a PPK to compare to.

I had a P 64 three years ago, sold it last year to help buy a Swedish carbine. Am looking for another one, now that you gentlemen seem to have a partial solution to the heavy da. What is a fair price to pay for a pistol with straight grips and rounded hammer ? I think it looks better than the sharp hammer.

Unissued P-64 with flat grips & round hammer with 2 mags for about $170 shipped to FFL is a decent price if buying online.
