Llama 380
Grayfox, they are excellent pistole's. I purchased Llamas MicroMax 380 about six years ago and absolutely love it, great little pistole's. I thought it was sad when Bersa bought out the ailing Llama company and dropped the name. I had heard that they were plagued with problems but I've never known any one person who owned one and had an issue with it including myself.

Nice Grayfox !!! I agree w/Carguy, It does resemble the Star pistol at first look ! I figured out that the pistol I am watching for is a Star SM Super 380. (Thanks for that great link Carguy!)
I have always heard that the Llama pistols are really decent shooters. They sure do sell quick, so there must be something to them. I too, am interested in hearing more about it. Is it a thin pistol? I consider thin to be around 1"-1and1/4". I like those thumbgrip style handles. Happy Shooting ! G

Hey Papabear, I borrowed the book "The Complete Encyclopedia of Pistols and Revolvers" by A.E. Hartink, from the Library, and it has this to say about that sweet looking pistol you have! (that is similar looking to the Star SM Super 380 that I like):
Llama Micromax .380/ModelIII-A ~ The Micromax was originally introduced as the Model II in 1933. The single action pistol in 9mm Short (.380) caliber has a Mag capacity of 7 rounds. In 1936, it was succeeded by Model III. This new model was actually the same as model II with a few minor modifications to the trigger mechanism. The production of Model III ceased in 1954, and it was succeeded by Model III-A in 1955.
In 1997, Llama renamed this pistol the Micromax. It was available in a blued and in a mat Chrome finish. The Micromax has an automatic firing pin safety, a grip safety and a safety catch on the left side of the frame. Both the slide catch and the safety catch are extended. There is a raised sight rib on the slide for the bead and the fixed rear sight.
The new Micromax is in .380 cal. with a mag. cap. of 7 rounds. Total length is 6-1/4", bbl. length is 3-11/16", Height is 4-1/4", and width is 1" .(PERFECT) Sight radius is 4-1/4", and empty weight is 22 oz. The Grips are made of synthetic material.
Thanks for the Pic and Happy Shooting Papabear!!! G
