Has anyone come up with a way to re-install the trigger guard?
That spring and plunger are beginning to look to be impossible to get back in without help from an expert.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks, fritzhund

HELP: Trigger Guard Install
Here's Norm at it again! 6th post down. When I did mine I used some rubber coated vise-grip clamps that you would use for clamping up wood.

I also used the rubber coated clamps and man it really took the work out of it. Norm gave me the idea, he has a real vise and I didn't .Went to wally world and found them. Also make sure that the plunger is fairly straight when clamping on the trigger guard otherwise there may be a kersproong!!

I got it.
Hand held, no vise.
1 part P-64, 1 part Yuengling Lager, 1 part determination.
Well, maybe I had more than one Yuengling, but I got the damn thing back together much to my surprise. It was a bitch.
IMHO:
I do not recommend taking the trigger guard off of the P-64 unless it is broken or damaged. This my personal opinion only.
Norm would know way more about this than I do, but, WOW, don't try this at home if you don't have to.

Congrats on the removal and reinstallation of a P-64 trigger guard. There are other fun parts to play with on the little jewel. I had problems with the extractor. However its nice that you have a pistol that you , yourself can actually work on!!
