Safety Red Dot / locking problem

The red dot on the safety has disappeared! Does anyone know of a product that can be used that is durable that can replace?

Secondly, in safe mode the slide will not close completely leaving the hammer cocked. I have cleaned and oiled and it still happens. To release the hammer and complete the action, I have to pull back again and add a little help. Any ideas?

Any red paint will do , use a tooth pick as an applicator

just pull the slide closed or push it closed or after the slide is closed put the safety on

So, are you implying that it is normal for the slide to lock in that position? It really isn't a big deal. It is however annoying.

all 4 of mine do it also if I don't pull the side all the way back and then let it go

Well, that's good enough for me! It is a great little gun and carry it most every day. It has never failed me. I have quite a few rounds through it with no failures. I put some dennis grips on it and now it is as nice looking as it is dependable. I am just as confident in it as any gun I own.

Back to applying the fire red color to the indent intended for it at the bottom of the relieved area in the slide where the safety lever rests. Clean it with alcohol before applying the paint.
Model paint is sufficient. Let a couple of drops fall back into the paint jar off the toothpick before you let one fall into the indent to avoid overflow. Be sure to allow it to dry at least 24 hours before reoiling the area.
