Need advise modifying CZ52 extractor for 9mm bbl

I'm picking up a 9mm barrel for a CZ52 from a forum member. I've read the CZ52 page over at Makarov.com and have seen the information on filing down the extractor to allow for better feeding of the shorter 9mm shell. Only - the instructions are not very clear.

I think they are saying that as the extractor is laying flat, you would round over the bottom edge of the forward left side portion.

Has anybody ever made this modification themselves? Before I try it, I think I'll pick up a spare extractor. I could modify it leaving the original un-modified.
