I just purchased a 1976 and the firing pin is not hitting the cartridge enough causing misfires. Anybody having this problem?

This subject has been discussed a few days ago on another thread and you may have read it. But just in case you didn't, I think the problem was the Firing Channel had grease in it and would not let the FP contact the Primer very well. Use some spray brake cleaner from the auto parts store and spray the heck out of the channel. I think this will resolve your problem. If not, come on back and some of the other guys can give you some ideas where to check.
