First CZAK finally

Post by manicmechanic »

It finally happened. Was at the local show, saw 2 P64's. One had the thumb rest grip and two mags for $179 + tax. The other one was flat gripped with one matched mag, but was $189 + tax. I choose the flat gripped CZAK, just felt better in the hand and is in better shape over all. Now I've got to go back and read up on all the cleanout ideas and recipes, clean her up and lube, pickup some ammo and have at it. Thanks for all the info so far, and all the future answers that are yet to be asked for. Oh, btw it's a 1974 also. 8-)

Congrats on getting a 64. I absolutely love mine, mine is a 1971 round hammer.

Congrats on your first P64 pistol, you'll love it. I just picked up my
fourth on Thursday -- out of state transfer for $ 150.00 with
free shipping -- a round hammer 1968 in unissued & unused
condition - a real beauty !

Clean it good with something like breakfree, you can't believe the crud inside. Then oil/grease er up and have a blast. But they are sneaky, I started with one, (1974), now have three and will get the forth at Knob Creek (round hammer). I also have a cz52 & a cz50. They grow like rabbits.

Mararovdotcom has been out of stock of 9x18 snap caps for a while, I tried to buy them for my Mak, check ebay, there is always a few. Will cost you $14-15 but thats the price to pay for the fun you'll have. 8~)

Thanks for the ideas guys. On using the 380 cap grayfox, no problem with anything? I'm sure those I can find locally, or get from a friend of mine.

I got the info from this forum. Don't seem to be a problem, but maybe someone else can correct me. If so I'll stop using mine. ;D
