trigger guard pin problem

the pin on which the trigger guard pivots broke...?? no idea how, the gun has only had 200 rounds thru it. anyone know where to get a replacement for it? thanks.

if it was mine I would get a nail close to the size chuck in a drill and turn it down with a file then cut it to length then heat it up to a cherry red and dope it in oil to harden it

Learn something everyday. BTW Norm, heating up the hex grip screws works great. I got a whole bag of them for 1.00.

As always Norm helps out with tech stuff. The same thing happened to
one of mine. Norm gave me step by step in emails and even talked me thru on phone. the nail worked even with my dexterity challenged hands... Wonder if the recoil caused the problem ...al

I have thought of replacing the trigger guard pin with a rolled tension pin (as ugly and as much as I hate rolled pins I think one wouldnt work its way out when I shoot). A 1/8 th inch diameter rolled pin is just slightly bigger than the trigger guard pin hole and after being pressed in it whould have plenty of tension to keep itself in place; I havent tried this yet although I have already cut a rolled pin to size. I just ordered the new Wolff springs so I'm hoping that they will solve the problem that I have with the pin.

Any thoughts on the rolled pin?

I can't see why it wouldn't work don't heat up and dop in oil to blue it it will harden the steel and make it brittle and take the spring out of it, spring steel is heated up and bench cooled

I was going to use cold blue on the roll pin; the one I got from Lowe's has a black oxide finish on it already. I used a needle file to cut the pin to length so as not to heat up the metal.

I just replaced the trigger guard pin with the roll pin that I had filed to lenght. Man...its a tight fit, I really dont think that i will walk out as readily as the original pin.
