p-64 parts

Post by joeybagga »

Hello All - just purchased my first P-64 a couple months ago and man, do I love it ...'till now! Last trip to the range, after about 4 mags the trigger went limp. Come to find out, the trigger bar cracked in half. I have read some posts about a gentleman from Poland who posts parts on GB but he does not have a trigger bar. I've searched everywhere and at this point I'm desparate - can anyone make a suggestion where I might find one? Thanks for your input.

There is usually always a trigger bar on Gunbroker but not this time. Keep your eyes peeled and check Gunbroker often and I think you'll find one. If I come across one in my searches on the internet, I'll post it here. If you purchased the gun from a reputable store, I'd think they'd be able to replace it or compensate you the cost to get a new trigger bar.

juniustaylor - I greatly appreciate your info, this website, and of course my p-64. I'm hoping to get it repaired soon and maybe buy a second one. I bought it from Classic Arms and have always had a good experience with them. I'll see what they can offer.

Thanks again. I look forward to contributing to and enjoying this website and it's members.

Does anyone know what years are prone to the trigger bar breaking?

Hello Joey,
I have the same problem as you. My trigger guard broke off while shooting and it seems a hairline crack forced it to fly off. I purchased my P64 from Classic Arms as well. I sent back the broken piece to them and it's been 3 weeks and no trigger guard. Are you waiting as well? Just curious...

Hey gang. "Long time listener, first time caller."

Anybody know of a source for replacement handgrips? My parts-source fu is weak for P-64s.

Those wooden grips are nice, but I'm not ready to spring that sort of cash yet.

rickn8or,

There is a gentleman named Paul at designergrips that makes grips for the P-64 ranging from $40-$55. Unfortunately it looks like you'd have to wait until the 22nd to order from him. But for now you could start looking at the samples. Plus you could be on the lookout for used ones elsewhere maybe on gunbroker or in the wts sections of this and other forums. Every now and then people will sell their grips as they get new custom ones in.

joeybagga, I was searching Gunbroker and finally came across more P-64 trigger bars.

Not sure why they were unavailable for a long time.
