Thumb Rest Grips

Post by Black Fly »

I put Marshal thumb rest/finger groove grips on my Mak and love them. I'm missing part of a finger and have some nerve damage in others so the grip gives me a lot better purchase. I was thinking about getting a similar grip for my P64. The problem fingers are the ones that hold the grip on my P64. Luckily I grew up milking cows and have a pretty strong grip, so it doesn't fly out of my hand. I noted a post in the classifieds that raised the question of whether that puts your thumb too near the slide. Any thoughts? Two other grip questions. Which do you prefer, beavertail or low cut? And do you like the grip below the magazine or short like the issue grips. Thanks

i don't own marshal grips, but i love to see pictures. :) i don't think your thumb will get in the way and personally i like the look of the shorter issued grip style. thats just me. i like it when something "looks" stock, but you can tell it's been modified. not sure if that makes sence, but thats what i like.

p.s. welcome aboard. great site. great people.
