Its larger than my P-64 and I do like the feel of it. This is the next generation pistol for the poles after the P-64. The frame is solid, but the manufacturing style for a P-64 frame is definitely more solid (cast). Much better recoil feel on this one compared to a P-64 though. I think my accuracy with this pistol will be just a bit better than a P-64 since I can grasp it better.
I tried out RAM FMJ, S&B, and Hornady XTP. Good feel on all of these rounds.
I've been looking for a P-83 Vanad for some time. I don't know why these aren't plentiful as Poland goes to the Mag-95.
Al Hoffmeyer had one anyhow! I think he still has the Vanad and a Mag-95 advertised on his website, though he said he doesn't have either pistol type anymore. He referred me to Dalvar, who doesn't haven them anymore either...
