Just got a nice P64 from AIM. Looks like a fine pistol, in great shape!
Of course, I promptly disassembled it and the sear fell off when I pulled the trigger with the grips, slide assembly off. One glance at the manual told me the fix, but I was wondering if I caused any damage. It seems solid enough now once it is reassembled correctly.
I don't want to rely on a pistol that is going to malfunction at a critical time...

Shouldn't have caused any problems. It happens every now and then to folks. Spring will come off, somethings the trigger spring where it goes to the trigger bar. Shoot some rounds out of it and see what happens and look over the area just forward of the hammer. I'd say it's fine.
