Well I pulled out my P-64 to head out to do some practice and I noticed that I have a small crack on the left side of the gun running from the center hole to the side. Ugh this sucks, I probably overtightened the grips. I found some stock replacement grips on gunbroker.com (http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =208907652)
and they were not what I expected. I didn't view the pics closely, didn't notice that the thumb rest is missing (mine has the sweet thumb rest I thought they all had), but most importantly, that there is no hole for the mounting screw and they don't fit together well. What is up with that? The only thing I can come up with is that they have never been on a gun and that it was the armorers job to drill the hole and 'fit' the plastic together?? Does anyone know if that is how it works with milsurp stuff? I emailed the seller and he has not gotten back yet. I will try and fit them, not so hard drilling a hole in the middle of each and block sanding the plastic on the back of the grips to make the two fit together better...
I would REALLY like to buy a set of stock grips with the thumb rest on it that fit together well. Anyone out there have some to sell me or know where I can get something other than Marshal wood grips?
Thanks in advance!
Scott

I actually just bought a P64 myself and I have the reverse problem you are having. On mine someone swapped out the grips with some really nice looking carved wood grips. The only problem is they have a thumb rest and I cant get my normal shooting grip with it.
This is mine:

I am actually looking for the flat grips you got. If you plan on selling them let me know.
