German Body Armour?

Post by jgaulden3277 »

I was recently given a body armour vest made by LBA & Wahler GmbH. The tag on the inside is written in German so I dont understand it but I was courious if any one is knows anything about these types of vests. It appears to possibly be Army issued from 1988. D8355 Hengersberg Postfach 100 Telex 69810 are a series of numbers on the tag that could possibly be the model number. If any one has any information about this I would really appreciate the feed back.

Thanks John

D8355 Hengersberg Postfach 100 Telex 69810 is an address, Hengersberg ist ein kleines dorf aus Bavaria ( a small town in southern Germany) a Postfach is a post office box. If it was a bundeswehr surplus item it should have some more markings. I hope this helps, auf Wiedersehen.

I have a couple of those, they are German flak jackets. I bought mine from Cheaper than Dirt. I took all the kevlar inserts out of one and put them in the other one for double the protection. now I'm ready for the zombie invasion
