I've poured over the reassembly guide, and exploded diagrams and cannot for the life of me figure out what this is. The reassembled gun seems to function. My best guess at this point is it's something unrelated that somehow crept into the basin while it was all soaking. But I figured I'd ask here before I consigned it to unimporrtance.

I totally disassembled my p-64 to soak it in mineral spirits, and when I reassembled it (following the guide here) I ended up with this extra part

Looks like the piece that goes on the hammer strut above the hammer spring.
