Help, The Slide Wont Go on the Frame

Post by w123driver »

Hello everybody, first time poster here.

I got my P64 two weeks ago, was functioning flawlessly, and did not have any issue with cycling or ammo.

I disassembled it routinely this evening, and couldn't put is back. The slide would not go forward, just as if something was obstructing it. I tried to put the slide without the spring, and it went on, but with great resistance. I could hardly take it off. I noticed that one lower edge of the slide is rough and blue is missing; I dont't know if I caused it, or it was this way before I bought it.
Please have a look at the pictures. Perhaps you can see something that I can't? Thank you.

for one thing your trigger pin is sliding out, make sure the recoil spring, the small end goes on the barrel first
and resize your pix they are too large

I will agree with the master. He spotted it right away. Your trigger pin is not seated and that is what is scratching your slide and not permitting slide installation. It is shaped to only fit one way so it is flush and held in by the slide when assembled correctly. The tab on the pin goes upwards to ride under the slide.
