I was thinking about getting one of the chromed P-64's from Classic Arms. Does anyone have one and if so what do you think? First post, so be nice.

Wecome to the P-64 Forum "blairvt" and glad to have you here!!!

I don't have one of the chromed P-64, as I only like the blued pistols, but a couple of the other guys on the Forum do have them. From what I have read they like them. For a carry gun, the chrome does make sense!

OK, another "teaching moment!" LOL! Why is chrome good for carry--less likely to rust??

himmel,

Yep, that is my thoughts.......less rust?????

As I have said before, I like blue steel, but some folks want the chrome to keep from having to oil daily. Plus, some folks like the appearance of chrome. The only problem with chrome, is that over the years, sweat and rubbing the holster will cause it to wear off or start to chip. But that is many years in the future. I remember seeing all the old S&W pistols that the chrome wears off or chips off, but they are probably 60+ years old.
