Greetings and happy new year everyone. This is my first post as I received my P64 from J&G this week and took it to the range today. I paid the extra 10 dollars for hand select but was a bit dissapointed in the finish as there was a lot of Holster wear. I was able to reblue the worn edges with a Bluing pen and it came out pretty nice if I do say so. I also picked up some 9X18 ammo from Aim "Silver Bear" and went through 50 rounds. I liked the looks of this gun the first time I saw it on J&G's website. After shooting it I'm even more impressed. What a fantastic Pistol. Extremely accurate and never missed a beat. I ordered the spring kit and an extra mag but they have not arrived yet. Looking forward to reducing the recoil a bit. I actually did not find it all that bad and less snappy than my Ruger LCP. I think it's built like a brick and is a tremendous value in a surplus pistol. I picked up an NOS holster and cleaning rod off e-bay and the gun fits perfect. I'm very impressed with this little pistol and If I did not already have a carry I might be induced to use this one. I'm a happy camper, Art. :)
One more old gun and my wife says she is going leave me. Boy, I'm sure going to miss her.

Art, welcome to the club. :) I had never fired a P-64 before and I was amazed how accurate this little gun is. I had started with the E.German makarov from Century Internation Arms and jumped back and forth between that and a Russian T-33 Tokarov until I got the CZ-52 bug.

I bought one and a few of my fellow instructors all bought them also. Ammo was cheap and CIA had the armorers kit which I used to replace parts/springs on my CZ-52. In fact many of my friends did benefit from that armorers kit. I had hoped that the Polish military had armorers kits for the P-64. But have not seen one for sale anywhere. But perhaps they have just eluded me.

Lots of great information here and the moderators are always ready to assist fellow members. Lots of experience and straight answers to questions that many of us may have. Sgt P.

Thanks for the welcome Sgt. I had purchased a Romanian TT-33 for my son for Christmas. A very nice gun indeed. It was armory refinished and looked pretty nice. It came with the holster cleaning rod and an extra mag. I notice that this one unlike some of the others did not have to have the grip shaved down to accomodate the added safety. It shoots like a champ but the load is too hot for my range, and creates a hail of sparks that looks ominous, and is not appreciated by the staff.
As far as the P64 is concerned You are right about the accuracy. I could not believe how right on it was. Thanks again for the responce and I'm looking forward to following the forums, regards, Art. :)

zenithman2003,
Welcome to the forum and congratulation's on your purchase.
Your new pistol will soo turn into a favorite to shoot and possibly carry, small, powerful and accurate; a hard combination to beat.
