New P64

A newbie here. Picked up my first P64 about 2 weeks ago at J&G. It is in very good condition. Took it home cleaned it and today I took it to the range. WOW I love this thing. Very accurate and not a single problem firing 50 rounds. I ordered a spare magazine from J&G as well and the one that I got looked brand new!! The only thing I noticed when firing was some powder blow back. My glasses (and face) got covered in black specs. Normal??

Are you sure it's powder and not excessive oil being flung from the slide?
