IT'S LIKE A NEW GUN!

Post by paddywonka »

The double action trigger on my P-64,was almost too hard to allow the pistol to fire.Installed a Wolff 19 lb hammer spring, as suggested here. Made a world of difference, can easily pull the trigger double action without twisting the gun! The single action trigger pull, does not seem to have changed. The step by step instructions, and photos made the job a snap. Can't wait to shoot it and see how it hits. Thanks for the help.

I ordered a 19 pound spring and can't wait for it to get here. At first I couldn't even pull the trigger unless i used both hands but after about 150 rounds and a lot of dry firing with snap caps it is now possible for me to shoot mine da. I do wonder how much is my finger getting stronger. LOL

They are called a-zoom and they are made of metal. I got 5 in a pack for like 20 some bucks. I also heard that regular 9mm snap caps work on a post in this forum.

Good thing about these is you can practice feeding probs and ftf by mixiing them in with regular bullets.

Envy,
You can find Snap Caps on ebay. Just search "SNAP CAP MAKAROV" and you'll find a few listings.

Midway has the A-Zoom aluminum snap caps in stock for the 9x18. Package of 5 $16.99. Stock # 967687.

They work well and will hold up better than the plastic ones.
