I just bought 500 rounds of ammo for a gun I don't own yet.

Anyone else ever do that or buy a holster for a gun they don't own or something else equally silly?

Glad I'm not a lone

Who knows, there may be a time when you have to barter. It's better to get out in front of a bad situation. When the government started suspending gun and ammo sales after Katrina, and justified taking people's protection motivated me. Especially living in florida, my official residence anyhow. 400 RDS of Buckshot is not enough, and don't forget an equal number of slug. Don't forget .22's, people gotta' eat. I've been lulling the fuzzy tailed 'Tree Rats' into a false sense of security. My wife want's me to kill em' because they tease the dogs on my 10 acres of oak forest, acorn central. I told her 'I will, when I'm hungry'.

I went to Gander mountain and priced makarov ammo and I was like no way I'm paying that much for it. This way I justify myself by saying-- hey, you're saving money here!

As a matter of fact, I've already ordered the marschal grips and 200 rounds of 9x18 for a p-64 I don't yet have!

Yeah add me to the list too. I bought a case of tokarov ammo from Century Arms about 6 months before I bought the Russian T-33 tokarov pistol.

Always good to be prepared. But never was a boy scout as they kicked me out for eating brownies. :P

There's nothing new under the sun Horatio, my guess is that are more here who have than who haven't, it gives you the proper incentive to buy more guns.

Close.

I sold my only 9MM gun when I had over 1000 rounds of 9mm in my stash - didn't like Taurus's straight 8 sights.

I planned on getting another. I did - sort of. I got a Springfield XD40SC then got a 9mm conversion barrel and 9mm magazine so I can shoot either 9mm or .40 in it.
