Webley MkIV .38S&W

After reading about tokarev22 broomhandle Mauser M1930 it got me roused up and I started digging into my collection of WWII guns and came up with one I hadn't had out in some time.

Picked this up some time ago, its a WWII Webley MKIV top break in S&W.38 [.38/200], from Webley & Scott Ltd of Birmingham, England. Its in 90% + finish condition, the lock up is tight, bore and cylinder are bright and shinny. It wound up as a Singapore Police Force handgun ie., the SPF stamping and it has a safety just above the grips on the frame, the markings are clear and sharp. Need to get this to the range soon, been a while since I shot it, report when weather permits.

Correct, the British did a pressure proof/test on everything

Thanks, I go to a lot of gun shows, and we have a lot of ads in the paper for gun sales. I find a lot from walk-ins at shows and estate sales and kids that get granddad's old gun, you gotta be patience, but it has worked for me for years, the hard part is I'm not a patient guy, but with money being scarce I have no choice.

That thing is in great shape! You have some of the nicest wheelguns in your collection. (with great photography to boot!)

I have 2 455 cal Webley's they both have cut down cylinders to shoot 45 acp

Here is my poor step child of the webleys. A "tanker model" of the Enfield. It got the name from a story the hammer was bobbed so as not to snag n tankers close quarters. In reality they were made that as it was a cheaper design and easier to produce.
