See my GLock 26 vs P-64: closer than I thought!

The Glock 26 is my secondary CCW, with my Glock 19 as primary...however, when warm (read sweat your Nu**#$ off HOT) weather arrives, I swap them since the G26 is smaller. I was curious about how my new P-64's measured up against the Glock for size and concealability. (NOTE: GLock is German for "brick")

Actually, I was impressed by how close the G26 really is in overall length and size to the smallish P64...however, the pics will show the real difference is in thickness and general "brick-like" form. I generally wear a Desantis strongside belted high-ride holster for the G26, meaning I have to have (2) shirts on. Not being a small-framed man (6' and...ahem...270 pounds) the IWBs have to be very small and thin for me wear them for any amount of time. And forget about an ankle rig for the G26...its like strapping a concrete brick to your ankle and pretending it doesn't bother you.

As soon as my Dick Funk IWB arrives, I will post up some more pics. And remember, these pics are of the 26...the G19 would make the P64 look like a shadow!

Great comparison pictures! The smallness of the P64 is what drew me to it in the first place.
The difference really stands out when you compare the two side by side.

My pleasure: I have to admit, I was VERY surprised the G26 made it pretty close! I thought the P64 was way smaller than the Glock, but it turns out the P64 is just thinner, and MUCH easier to conceal. The Glock is almost the same length and height, but the P64 wins hands-down when it comes to IWB or pocket carry. Part is due to the mag capacity (10 for the GLock in 9mm, and 6 for the P64 in 9x19 Makarov) but I have a feeling they will both see plenty of use in my collection. Sometimes I feel like a Glock, sometimes I don't!

I main carry an XD9 sub compact, or my glock 19. Like you say when it is hot I switch to the P64 it is so much easier to conceal with no issues. I have complete faith in the P64 just wish it had more capacity, so I always carry a spare mag.
