Hey guys,
Just got done swapping out springs (22# recoil and 18# hammer) on a recent J&G P64. Change-out went smoothly (thanks to Norm and all those who've posted tips, etc.) No muss no fuss. The DA trigger pull has improved some, but it remains "gritty" By that I mean, the pull is smooth for 90% of the stroke, but then it binds (... wants to come to a complete stop) at the last 10%. Extra effort allows it to break free. Interestingly, when the trigger is pulled in DA with the slide off (and my thumb pushing back on the hammer to block it when it drops,) it pulls smoothly through the entire stroke. Any suggestions on where to look for binding? The trigger bar doesn't look like it's rubbing anywhere inside the slide. Does something need to be polished or lubed that I missed? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Mine was similar but not quite as bad as you describe. After cleaning the cosmoline out of the action and putting a couple hundred rounds downrange the trigger is pretty nice now.

I don't polish any thing on these guns except the feed ramp's,you could make it into a DA only gun with to much polishing ,get you some spay or powdered graphite let it do the polishing for you ,
PshootR I think dose do some polishing ask him what to polish
