New to this site and enjoying the posts. Hope I'm not dredging up an old thread, so sorry if this is already discussed and I just could't find it. I just got a P 64, put a few rounds through it and was very pleased with the accuracy. Recoil wasn't offensive, and it's a nice looking little piece. My question is; were these pistols made in more than one factory? My serial # is HK***** Manufacturing date appears to be 1968 also has the number 11 in an oval, above and between the serial # and the mfr. date. Thanks

Best to start with the Resource page http://www.p64resource.com/
And then ask questions from there -- congrats on your new P-64.

Thanks... Looks like there is just one factory. I guess the alphabetical prefix to the serial number is just a production run. Appreciate the help...
