Miss feed on P-64

Post by tnscooter »

Hello everyone, this is my first thread and p-64 and I do like it. I just bought it this week and took it out to shoot today. I have a Radom P-64 from 1976 and I was using the Blazer 95gr aluminum TMJ, I have 3 mags with it and while shooting today it jammed on me twice with two different mags. From what I have read on here most have not had problems with the aluminum casing ammo so was wondering if it could be my mags, is there any way to tell which are factory or any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help, Scott ???

welcome

first did you clean the gun before you ever fired the gun, if not do it now, take the slide off and the grips off and clean gun , then lube gun

you may have to polish the feed ramp , buy better ammo

Good morning Norm, The gun looked very clean and well taken care of when I got it, everything seems tight and barrel looks new, and the feed ramp is very good also (still blued). Not exactly sure what you mean by polishing the ramp, I know where it is but what would you use for polishing. I will clean it up good and try it again on Thursday. Thanks, Scott

The cleaning and polishing did the job great, I shot about 100 rounds today without any problems. Thanks, Scott
