Wish List Thread
I'm starting a wish list thread that maybe we can all add to and if someone knows of a place to pick up a rifle that's on someone else's wish list then they can share. I'll start.
Number one of my wish list is a Spanish FR-8 rifle. They're getting hard to find.
Number two would be a SHTF rifle, a CETME with wood furniture.

Winchester 1897 trench gun with bayo or the Norinco copy of same.
I have wanted one ever since I saw the one Norm posted a year or so ago.

This could be hard, but I made a resolution with my wife the other day. Only one new gun each year. So if I'm 26 that means...
Any .38 or .357 snubby that shoots bullets in specified directions.
Ruger 10/22
Mossberg 500
Taurus Judge
SKS preferably not Yugo, but I'm starting to give up the ghost.
Possibly an m1895
Then there is the dream list:
S&W AR-15 in 5.45x39
Weatherby Vanguard in .308

No, it can be pistols too. I was just on a rifle kick yesterday when I made this. But we can do pistols too.
I'd like to add a Ruger No.1 in .257 to my list too. And also a Kimber Grand Raptor.

I think they shoot great, just can't get into the stuff on the end of the barrel. ;D Kidding aside, I sold mine to a good friend about 6-8 months ago as he didn't have one & the prices around here was too high. He is very happy with it. I'd buy another one if it came my way, but I already have two norincos & a russian. Maybe this spring I'll get time to shoot them. ::)

That's good to know on the SKS. I was under the impression they had some parts that were not interchangeable and lacked chrome bores. I'm sure it is just some bad data I got somewhere. Move Yugo SKS to the top of my list!
Wish List Thread
I wouldn't mind a Yugo SKS either. I like the laminated stocks on them though.

Thanks for the link Norm. Those prices beat the pants off anything we have here in town.
I don't really need a chrome barrel anyways, they all get the boiling water treatment in the end...

I can't believe it. A firearm that was on my "I will never be able to own" list just became mine. I picked up my new Safir T14 today. I have already loaded up a couple of cases of .410 for the weekend and will be very familiar with this rifle/shotgun by Monday.
My SKS next to it for size comparison.
