I picked this up from my neighbor for $325 plus 1000rds of steel core not so great Wolf ammo. I have taken it down and cleaned it and all looks good , no cracks in the bolt face, no rust or corrosion. (Well, it had a little corrosion, but it cleaned right off.) It does not have the origional stock on it I don't think because I can see the places where it has been repaired. All in all though it looks good.
Very nice Chinese SKS [RPC/China] "416 in Triangle". +1 with Norm as for the wood stocks, the synthetic stocks don't cut it with me either, but to each his own. I really like my Norinco SKS, they are like the energized bunny they just keep on going.
I did trick mine out at first but the synthetic stock let me feel the recoil to much so I went back to the original stock.
I have two SKS's and they are both original Yugos. One was unissued mint and the other is my shooter. I have replaced the gas shutoff valve and the piston only in the shooter. Everything else remains stock. I have never had a FTF with it and I have mainly used only corrosive surplus ammo. I have some Wollf, and the SKS is the only gun I shoot Wollf out of.
