P64 safety fix question

Post by mrsmonk »

Hi folks. I just picked up my P64 last weekend. The safety is nearly impossible to move. Any fixes or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

sounds like you haven't completely clean the gun yet , you my have to take the safety apart and clean it.

P64 safety fix question

Welcome. I definitely recommend a good thorough cleaning before shooting. If your gun came looking anything like mine did, you'll be surprised just how much garbage is in there. I removed the grips and magazine base, then soaked the rest in Diesel fuel overnight. The next evening I blew it off with shop air, completely disassembled, reassembled and lubed(Mobil 1 and bearing grease :) ). Wonderful little pistol since then.
