Standart Arms

Post by blinddog »

I was floating around today and stopped in a pawn shop and they had a Standard Arms 9mm hammerless pistol. Looked like a clone of maybe an old S&W with the painted slide but was short. I know nothing about this brand of firearm and now the kicker..it didn't work. There seemed to be a malfunction between the trigger and the hammer. I feel sure something that tripped the trigger broke or at very least is not connected. They had a $50.00 price tag on it. Can anyone tell me something about this firearm? ???

blindog,

I'm not familiar with Standard Arms either, but here is a link were they tell of the slide cracking and the trigger springs breaking. It doesn't sound like a gun I would want, but then who am I to judge, but I wouldn't spend $50 on it. It looks a lot like a Kel-Tec

That looks like it papabear, except the slide is more square. I misspelled it the spelling should be standard arms. I never really heard of them either but I thought I would go fishing to see if anyone had any info on it. The owner of the pawn shop said he use to sell them but 4 out of 5 usually came back, I guess that should of told me something, Can't give you pics because it is still in the store and I suppose that is where it is going to stay. Thanks for the input guys, I'll stay away from this one.

It is a clone of the Kel-Tec P-11. The company that made it went belly-up.
