First I have to thank everyone that helped with sending pictures. Especially papabear and norm.
Now: Took the old/new CZ out to the range and got a hell of a surprise. On the first attempt to fire the pistol jammed and could not be cleared. A nice loaded round in the chamber. I took it home and got it cleared, finally. The round was jammed into the receiver and had to be extracted with a set of nail pullers. Although there was a mark on the primer the round had not fired. Cleaned every damn thing again. Still with the cosmolene!!!
I Dremeled the receiver but I wonder about something. The rounds do not seem to seat all the way into the receiver. They seem to stick out plus or minus an eighth of an inch. This ammo is Romanian circa 1982(from SOG) but looks like all the internet pictures. Is it supposed to stick out? Do I have a problem with the pistol or the ammunition? Neither? Both? Sorry to go on and on but, this is the first time I have tried 7.62x25 and this really has me buffaloed. :-X

did you take the gun apart and clean it before you shot it ,if not do it now
are you sure its not a 9mm barrel you have in the gun
I take even new guns apart and clean them before ever shooting them

First thing I did was clean it. Second thing after the problem was to clean it again and use my Dremel.
I measured the inside diameter of the barrel and it shows about 7.62. A 9mm was way too big to fit into the end of the barrel although it will drop into the breech. So will a 380!
I guess I had better give SOG a call and see what's what.

crzbiker, my bet is on the a .380 chambering, you should start a poll, just for yuks and let every one take a guess before you let us all in on the truth.
On a more serious note, a friend of mine made a purchase from SOG that did not turn out well and they replaced the item for him right away, so you should be OK there.
Good luck,
G.R.
