Who knows Garands?

I just got an M1 Garand and I'm puzzled as to it's origins...it has an SA reciever # 533XXXX and an the barrel dated 10 53 (LMR D6535448 10 53) and A55C F 6528291 on the right of the reciever. it has an HRA gas cylinder cap. looks like I got an SA what does anyone else know? I've been looking and I've found contradictory info on this rifle, help me.
