First Range Report
As requested, I am letting you know that I shot my new P-64 for the first time today. Because the rain was coming down mixed with sleet, I only shot off about 55 rounds. 50 rounds were wolf 100 grain FMJ, and 5 were wolf hollow points. One malfunction happened when the FMJ case failed to eject, but that was it. The trigger pull in double action was not a problem at all, and the recoil was not as sharp as I anticipated. The only other guns I had shot before were a Glock 17 and S&W 59, and both had at least one malfunction within the first 50. I could not tell that the recoil for the p-64 was worse. My accuracy (if you can call it that) was about the same with all three handguns I have tried. So, I would say my choice to buy the P-64 was a good one indeed.

First Range Report
infamous1,
Thanks for the Range Report!! These reports are very important to all of us so everyone can get a "feel" for how well the pistol does shoot. Also, if anyone has problems with the pistol when shooting, it gives us the opportunity to figure out why. Once we know the symptoms, we can figure out why the problem occured. Again, the report is appreciated.
Like you, I always consider a new pistol may have a few "hiccups" on its first few trial runs until it gets broken in. Sounds like your was the same as mine with only one FTE. I still have this sometime on my Colt .45 ACP that I used in Combat Matches and has been fired a BUNCH!
I noticed the recoil was a little sharper than my other 9mmP pistols, but was definetly no objectionable. After a little lubrication, I can pull my DA OK, but it is not the beswt I have tried. I only use DA occasionaly, so the heavy pull is no problem for me. The SA is very sweet on both mine.
Please come back often when you can.
