My answer is yes to all of the above..you need short, long, fat, thin, dark, light, square and round ones. And lighting them is the only way to make the smoke you need to avoid 8-) but definitely, never, ever, under no circumstances inhale...that just is not good for you at all. Smoking them at all is not good but it is my only real vice so ??? just puff and blow :'(

Now if you really want to learn to shoot better, I say you buy that combination mentioned above in as many brands as makes you happy, send them to me and in a week or so I'll let you know which one will help you shoot the best... 8-)...promise.

The best cigar that I've ever had was during the worlds fair in Vancouver B.C. in the 80's. My son was about seven or eight at the time and bought a Havana for me at the Cuban pavilion. It tasted so good that I never did light it, just chewed on it all day, it was absolutely the best tasting thing I have ever had in my mouth. You know when you go into the cigar shop how good it smells? That cigar tasted better and that taste ruined every other cigar for me that I have tried since. Cant Wait until Fidel and the U.S. make nice so we can enjoy some of the worlds nicer things again. ;D

I agree Cubans are pretty nice. But I do believe that so many people go on and on about them more because we aren't supposed to have them as opposed to them really being that much better than other cigars.

I really enjoy just about any Arturo Fuente cigar. Monte Cristos, Cohibas, Punch, Partagas...I could go on and on. I never smoke the "flavored" cigars. They usually smell delicious and taste like crap once you light them. Cigars are supposed to taste earthy, like something grown and fermented not like a Pina Colada... :'(

There is a cigar shop here in town with a restaurant/bar attached and is close to one of the gun clubs that I belong to. I'm going to take notes and stop by to see what they have to offer. Who knows, I may be able to find one that I can enjoy once in a while.

Gunny if you are not used to smoking cigars...pick up a Macanudo, they are excellent and mild. If you want to play with a nice cigar that isn't cheap but affordale try one.

If you want a really nice, medium body, smooth burning cigar with nice smoke and a solid ash try a Monte Cristo.

OK,
A Ricardo Mountebank and a Snicker Doodle, I'll try and remember to pick up one of each this afternoon after we're done shooting.
I don't own a lighter but I know that Ed buddy does and the cigar shop is his own personal haunt. Wish me luck at the range today .

Hehe... Had this thought this past weekend, when I took my father and brother to a shooting range in GA and (later on in the day) rented a Thompson.

"Man, I really feel like I need a cigar in my mouth while shooting this..." ;D

I don't smoke. However, I do get a great big chew of Redman and in about 20 seconds everything seems to just start moving in circles and I don't feel so good no more! Thats why I get two or three targets to shoot at.
